Branson Shows to Keep the Kids Smiling

Here are five shows to consider when you bring the kids to Branson.

Whether it’s outdoor fun, zipline rides or attractions like the HollywoodWax Museum, kids of all ages find plenty of reasons to smile during a Branson vacation.

The same goes for Branson’s amazing lineup of live shows. From huge stage productions and amazing acrobats to talented singers and amazing animals, shows in Branson offer so much fun, even your teenager will be smiling – and you know that’s no easy feat.

Here are five shows to consider when you bring the kids to Branson:

  • Jonah: The spectacular setting of Sight and Sound Theatres makes for a superb experience as you watch the story of Jonah – one of God’s prophets – unfold. Great songs, amazing sets, close encounters with performers and one unforgettable appearance by a whale will leave your kids awe-struck.
  • Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai: You’ll be just as wowed as the kids are when you watch this amazing display of acrobatic skills. Dozens of performers make this high-flying show a don’t-blink-or-you’ll-miss-it spectacle. Staged at New Shanghai Theatre, this performance includes insights on Chinese history and culture (shhhh, don’t tell the kids they are learning something, it just interferes with all the fun).
  • Amazing Pets: Found at one of Branson’s most popular family destinations, Grand County, the Amazing Pets show features four-legged stars (dogs and trained housecats) with smile-worthy stage skills. This early-morning show (10 a.m.) is a great way to start your day in Branson.
  • Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction: This live show is an event to behold. Horses, special effects, music – and you get to eat dinner using just your hands, no utensils – is a kid’s dream come true. Enjoy a tour of the stables and don’t miss the skills on display during the opening act in the Carriage Room.
  • Branson Landing Fountain Show: Take a break from shopping on Branson Landing to enjoy this show, which incorporates water, fire and a variety of songs and musical genres. With beautiful LakeTaneycomo as a backdrop – and the likelihood of feeling a gentle mist as water rockets into the air – this is a crowd pleaser for kids of all ages.
